Tweed All About it! Find Out Who’s Doing Tweed!
This is just about one of the only times of year that we can talk about wearing tweed. Although in the past we’ve seen designers churn out spring and summer tweeds but we have the best time wearing them in fall/winter. Tweeds seem to get a facelift this fall and winter giving wearers some fun options. Burberry, Gucci, Karl Lagerfeld, DKNY, and Christian Lacroix gave us some really wearable fall/winter coats, coat dresses, and skirts. Add those to your search list! Call us weird, but we associate pearls with tweed? Yeah..don’t ask why. Maybe it has something to do with Chanel and their dedication to tweed, we usually see them pull in pearls to accessorize the look. Speaking of pearls, tweed and Chanel, the paparazzi spotted Rihanna rocking the combination while at a Paris Fashion Week. More recently Gossip Girls uber fabulous Taylor Momsen rocked a tweed coat, guess what she accessorized the look with… Pearls! We recommend tweed as more of a 9 to 5 fashion. Although it may be possible, we don’t know that tweed would be the best look for date night or your favorite night spot? Give tweed a try!
