I am a native of Tennessee. I have over 10 years of experience in fashion under my belt and working with major and independent record labels (Sony and Universal), modeling agencies (Elite, Next, and Click), fashion designer – Mychael Knight and Nina’s Couture, Atlanta based artist development enterprise (Artist Factory), celebrities (The Dream (Mary J. Blige and Jay-z Tour), Michelle Kwan, Jagged Edge, Tweet, Jenn Hobby (Q100’s Radio Show, The Bert Show), comedian Rickey Smiley, Daron (Group 112), Divinity (Hip Hop Artist and Beyonce Knowles bass player), DJ Drama (Gangsta Grillz Series), magazines (Women’s Health and Fitness, DO!, Black Men Magazine, and Cover), a personal shopper and fashion consultant for the Playtex and Just My Size Promotional Tour, Hanes Stylist Boutique, a fashion stylist for advertising, promotions, and commercials (Tiger Beer, Def Jam Recordings, Apple Bottoms/Pimp Juice, and NASCAR), A style correspondent for Q 100’s The Bert Show, served as fashion editor and art director for Industry Status Magazine, and credited as wardrobe stylist for Lifetime Channel’s trendy wedding show,” Get Married”, ABC’s “Are You Hot”, Travel Channel’s “The Undiscovered”, HOTLANTA Nights, UPN-Atlanta Pilot “Honeys”, and the National Film and Video AEGIS Award Winning Documentary “Diamonds In A Ruff,” a makeover show where I offered an array of fashion options and presented valuable advice on becoming a more productive citizen for a group of under privileged and socially unaccepted women.
In addition, I am the author of the book, “Career Diary of a Fashion Stylist: thirty days behind the scenes with a professional”.

2. So what would you say a typical day is like for you?
I get up around 9:00 am, check out the fashion blogs, watch the entertainment news and blogs, and check emails. If I am working on a project, I usually prep by talking with wardrobe vendors, pulling wardrobe, working with my assistants, meeting with clients, fittings, or styling a photo shoot, video shoot, or working with a personal shopping project.
If I am in the office; I am checking emails, reading fashion blogs, checking out fashion magazines, working on pitching ideas to new clients, or working on getting new projects. Follow up with Cox Productions, talking with students, and continuous research of fashion trends. And lastly, let’s not forget checking and posting on twitter.
3. Describe your ‘I made it moment’.
What was truly exciting was when I started getting a great response from my book A Career Diary of a Fashion Stylist. Since my name has stayed out there in the entertainment industry, I am happy to be relevant and always preparing to be the one who constantly works with the next up and coming A-list clients to continue having that ‘I made it moment’.
4. What is your favorite item in your closet?
I have a cognac color vintage leather blazer I found at a vintage store on Melrose in LA. That is my favorite blazer. I will not even coat check it if I wear it out to an event. It is very dear to my heart and a one of kind.
5. What are the must have’s for a complete wardrobe?
Accessories! Accessories! and Accessories! I can’t say it enough!
6. What defines your style?
Classic, sexy, and sophisticated
7. How important is it for a stylist to style herself?
Very important! You are a walking build board and representation of your company and your craft. How are people going to trust and believe in you to style them if you don’t have style.
8. What is your favorite city for shopping?
LA. New York is 2nd for me . I have also found some really great things in Boston.
9. Who are your fashion icons?
Grace Jones on the edgy side, Victoria Beckham, women who were in the Black ExplotationsMovies in the 70’s. If you take a look at their wardrobe you will find so much inspiration.

11. Tell us about your most recent work and what we can expect from you in the near future?
Just became a style correspondent for Q100’s The Bert Show and covered the AMA’s with a fashion panel that I asked to join me. In the near future I think you will see more of me being a style expert and working on another book, teaching more courses, offer my insight to tv shows, and continue styling more entertainers.

Career Diary of a Fashion Stylist is a 30-day intimate look at the life of freelance fashion stylist. As a stylist in the fashion and entertainment industry, it describes how I entered the field and details of my current journey to build a reputation as a respected and recognized fashion professional in a highly competitive field. I provide a wealth of information about key elements of the industry as I give details of the tools and resources necessary to be a successful fashion stylist. They include points to cover when consulting with client, working with small and large budgets, and how to organize information to produce a creative and successful project.
